How much space do you need?

Ideally 5 metres x 3 metres, however we play a lot of gigs where there is limited space and we will always find a way to fit into any space, however 3 x 2 metres, is probably the smallest space we can fit in!

How is it best to time things?

However you like, and we are very flexible on timings, but usually the running order is a bit like this:
Arrival 6pm to be set up and sound checked by 7:30.
Background/DJ music from 7:30 until 8:30.
Live set 1 from 8:30 until 9:30.
Background/DJ music from 9:30 until 10:45
Live set 2 from 10:45 until 11:45 with encores & DJ music until midnight.
Or we can split the sets into 3 x 40 minutes, with similar timings but always making sure we finish off the last set around 11:45 as the sets are designed to go out with a bang!

Can I pick the bands playlist?

Yes you can pick and choose songs from our playlist, however we prefer to pick the order as we have engineered our set list to weddings and parties and it works in a building pattern to create the best party atmosphere and keep the dance floor full and pumping all night!

Where will you travel to?

All across the UK and also worldwide.

Can I see you play live?

Because of the nature of our work we don’t play many public gigs as they all tend to be private events, however time to time we do book public shows so check out our Facebook or Twitter page for details.

Will you learn our special song?

Of course! Providing we can do your chosen song justice we will learn anything you like.

Is the video on your website a true reflection of the band?

We are currently in the process of making more live based videos, the one video we do have is a good representation of what to expect from us in the flesh.

How do I book you?

You can book us through the enquiry form on this website or through our agency www.alivenetwork.com. You can also email or call our booking agent, Nick, on 0845 226 3177 or teenagekicks@alivenetwork.com

Are you able to DJ in between sets?

We carry a laptop with access to nearly every song ever written through our Spotify premium account to all our gigs and use it specifically for DJ'ing, making sure that we keep the dance floor swinging in between our live sets. We are happy to take requests for DJ songs.
Music playlists between sets comes as standard with every booking, and if you want a more bespoke DJ service, we offer a DJ package upgrade option where one of the band members will man the laptop all night to take requests and make basic announcements.
The DJ package upgrade option is offered for free if you confirm your booking with us within 7 days of receiving your official quote

What time do you start and finish?

We usually start set 1 at around 8-8:30 and aim to finish the last set within the last hour of the night, but again we are very flexible on timings. Arrival time is 5pm and finish time is midnight as standard but we are also available outside of those hours for an additional nominal fee.

How long do you take to set up?

Depending on ease of load in we can be setup and ready to go between 1 hour & 15 minutes to a maximum 1 hour & 30 minutes.

Can I provisionally book you?

Unfortunately, we don’t take provisional bookings as our demand is such that we would be turning clients away on popular dates. However, when you make an official enquiry with us, your enquiry will be logged in our system and you will be given first refusal on your date should anybody else enquire for the same date.

What if the band split up before my event?

Like many professional party bands, our work is our livelihood and so we take our commitments very seriously. In the very unlikely event that the band had split up before your party, every effort would be made to find a suitable replacement band.

Can my sisters/bosses/daughters dog sing with your band?

Sure thing! Just as long as this is organised beforehand we have no problem with that, however we tend not to allow the use of our backline, drums, guitars, amps ect as they are expensive and are our livelihood, plus if it gets damaged we can’t then honour our other client base.

What will the band wear?

We have a many different choices of stage attire, ranging from casual, t-shirts/shirts and jeans, to smart casual, shirts, smart trousers and shoes to very smart, shirt, ties, cravats, waistcoats, smart trousers and shoes. We also will get involved with any themes you may have for your party, as we love fashion and love looking great!

Does the band have PAT and PLI certificates?

Yes we do and we always carry them with us and keep them up to date.

Why should I book Teenage Kicks?

We are without doubt one of the best function bands on the circuit at the moment and have a vast amount of experience playing all different types of events across the country and further afield. We operate with the best gear so the sound is amazing, are extremely professional and down to earth people without rock star egos so that your event runs ultra smoothly, and killer musicians so that we can make sure we play everyone’s favourite songs so that all ages and music tastes are catered for. We also care about your event and know it’s very special so make sure we get it right every time.

How much does it cost to book the band?

Prices vary slightly based on the time of year, the location of your event, timings, and any upgrade options, but our standard price starts at £853 including VAT.

Can we see some previous client testimonials?

Yes, we have loads of previous client testimonials just check out our testimonials page

Do Teenage Kicks have any specific requirements?

We request a room in which to change if at all possible however we understand if this is not possible and also something to eat and drinks for the duration of our time at the venue.

What type/size venues are you able to play at?

We have played in every type of venue, from festivals, huge marquees and ballrooms to intimate clubs and private residencies.

How loud will the band be?

Being a guitar based rock and pop function band, the nature of the music we play means that we can only turn down so far! If your chosen venue has a DB limiter, please discuss this with your agent at the time of your enquiry - There’s every chance that we (or one of our fellow agency bands) have performed at the venue before, but if not, it’s worth discussing to make sure that the performance you will receive from us will not be compromised. However, if your venues decibel limit is restrictively low, we are more than happy to provide a reduced sound level performance and still keep the dancefloor packed!

What is the band power requirement?

In terms of generators we use a total wattage or power consumption of 1200 Watts, its always good to make sure with generators that there is plenty of headroom above this just in case. We usually request 2 double 13 amp supplies near to the stage area, and as a rule we draw approximately 16 amps with everything on and have only ever experienced any issues in events in marquees where the generator capacity has been too low.
